What is the Auto-Confirm feature in OKX Wallet?

The Auto-Confirm feature in OKX Wallet is designed to improve your trading experience. When you place a market or limit order, the system can automatically complete signature confirmation without requiring you to enter a password, use biometric verification such as facial recognition or fingerprint authentication, or activate the browser extension to sign each time. This makes the trading process smoother and more efficient.

No repeated verification required — Auto-Confirm helps you act faster

Three key benefits of Auto-Confirm

  • Faster experience: confirmation steps are skipped so transactions can be confirmed more quickly, helping you capture opportunities during market fluctuations.

  • Smooth and seamless: enjoy a Web3 trading experience as smooth as payments on a centralized exchange, without repeated verification interrupting your decision-making.

  • Security protection: security measures such as safe active periods and daily limits help protect transactions. OKX does not custody users’ funds or private keys. Auto-Confirm only simplifies the transaction process, and your assets remain secure.

How do I enable or disable Auto-Confirm?

If you want a click-to-order experience, enable Auto-Confirm to reduce repeated verification and trade more efficiently.

FAQ

1. Is Auto-Confirm safe? How is my security protected?

Security is our top priority. Auto-Confirm is designed with multiple risk-control mechanisms to help protect your transactions:

  • Device binding: Auto-Confirm only works on your currently verified device. If you switch devices, you'll need to import your seed phrase wallet or verify again using your password.

  • App active period: on the app, Auto-Confirm is effective only while the app remains active. When the app is no longer active, such as after it has remained in the background for a period of time, after the app process is closed, or after a certain period has passed, the first transaction requires biometric verification again.

  • App security checks and limits: on the app, we check whether the device is in a risky state, such as when malicious software is installed. If the device is considered risky, Auto-Confirm can't be used. Auto-Confirm transactions are also subject to a daily limit. Transactions exceeding the limit can't be automatically confirmed, and the limit refreshes daily at UTC+0.

  • Extension wallet lock: in the browser extension, Auto-Confirm only works when placing orders on the OKX Wallet website using OKX Web3 Wallet. When the wallet is locked, Auto-Confirm is paused until the wallet is unlocked. You can adjust the lock time and manage Auto-Confirm under Settings > Wallet lock.

These risk-control measures are designed to maximize asset protection while maintaining convenience.

2. Which transactions support Auto-Confirm, and which do not?

  • Supported

    • Supported networks: the app supports SOL and all EVM chains; the web supports SOL, SUI, and all EVM chains.

    • Web: Auto-Confirm is enabled by default for OKX Wallet social login accounts and covers all market orders, limit orders, and order management operations under the account. EOA accounts can enable or disable Auto-Confirm in the browser extension under Settings > Wallet lock > Auto-Confirm.

    • App: Auto-Confirm is enabled by default for OKX Wallet social login accounts and covers all market orders, limit orders, and order management operations under the account. EOA account users need to enable Auto-Confirm manually, after which all market orders under the account can be automatically confirmed.

  • Not supported

    • Transfers

    • Approvals

    • NFT / DeFi transactions

    • Other scenarios

3. Can I disable Auto-Confirm?

  • OKX Wallet social login accounts: Auto-Confirm is enabled by default on both the web and app

  • EOA accounts in the browser extension: go to Settings > Wallet lock > Auto-Confirm to disable the feature manually

  • EOA accounts on the app: select Settings > Auto-Confirm in the upper-right corner of the DEX page to disable the feature manually.

4. Why am I sometimes still prompted to verify manually after enabling Auto-Confirm?

This is for security protection. The system may require biometric authentication or a password for the first transaction after the app active period, the first transaction after unlocking the browser extension wallet, transactions exceeding the daily limit, and certain special security-risk scenarios.

Examples of special security-risk scenarios

If we detect software on your phone that may modify app behavior, the system automatically disables Auto-Confirm to protect your assets. Examples include plugin frameworks such as Xposed or LSPosed, network packet capture or debugging tools such as HttpCanary, app cloning or multi-instance tools, or a rooted phone with certain system plugins installed.

How can I resolve this?

  1. Uninstall or close the relevant software.

  2. Restart your phone.

  3. Open the app again to restore Auto-Confirm.

If you aren’t sure which software caused the issue, close them one at a time and restart your phone to troubleshoot.

Why is this necessary?

This software may be able to modify transaction content in the background, such as the transfer address or amount. Even if the information you see is correct, the transaction that is actually submitted may have been changed. When this type of risk is detected, the system requires you to confirm every transaction personally to help prevent asset theft. Your normal transactions aren't affected; only one additional confirmation step is required.

5. Why can't I use Auto-Confirm?

First, check whether your app or browser extension is updated to the latest version and whether your phone has software installed that may modify app behavior. If you still can't use Auto-Confirm, contact customer support for further assistance.
